Cops Confront Armed Shooter in Deadly Indiana Grocery Store Standoff

A shooting at Martin's Supermarket in Elkhart, Indiana, resulted in three fatalities, including the shooter, and left two police officers wounded on Monday evening. The incident occurred in the 500 block of East Jackson Boulevard, approximately 15 miles east of South Bend. Police responded to reports of gunfire at 5:30 p.m., discovering two deceased victims inside the store. Officers encountered the shooter outside the establishment, leading to an exchange of gunfire that resulted in the suspect's death and injuries to two officers. One officer was treated and released, while the other remained hospitalized in fair but stable condition.
