Jamie Foxx is set to reveal the details of his mysterious health scare in a new Netflix special, “Jamie Foxx: What Had Happened Was…” The special, filmed in Atlanta in October, features Foxx recounting his harrowing experience and expressing gratitude for his recovery.
An audience member who attended the filming shared that Foxx described being “on the brink of death” after collapsing on set and falling into a coma for several weeks. The medical emergency occurred while Foxx was filming the Netflix movie “Back in Action” with Cameron Diaz.
Foxx reportedly woke up in a hospital bed, unaware that he had been in a coma for an extended period. Doctors informed him that his condition was life-threatening and that his chances of survival were slim.
During his coma, Foxx’s daughter visited him and played guitar, a cherished activity they shared. Remarkably, Foxx’s vitals began to improve while his daughter played, a phenomenon that doctors couldn’t explain.
Foxx also shared that he had a 30% chance of survival, highlighting the severity of his condition. He expressed gratitude for the medical staff and rehabilitation team who helped him recover.
The Netflix special promises to be both emotional and humorous, with Foxx recounting his experience with candor and wit. It offers a glimpse into the actor’s resilience and determination in the face of adversity.
Foxx has been gradually returning to the public eye since his health scare, making appearances and sharing updates on his recovery. The Netflix special will provide a more in-depth look at his journey and his gratitude for those who supported him through this challenging time.

Ferry Services Resume After Six Weeks of Disruption, But Delays Hit Holyhead Reopening
Ferry services to and from Holyhead Port have resumed after being disrupted for over six weeks due to damage sustained during Storm Darragh in early December. The storm caused significant damage to terminals 3 and 5 at the Welsh port, with terminal 5 operating on a temporary basis upon reopening. The Irish Ferries ship WB Yeats arrived in Dublin Port from Holyhead this morning, marking the resumption of services. However, the initial restart was not without problems. Ger Hyland, President of the Irish Road Haulage Association (IRHA), reported a three-hour delay for the second ferry from Dublin to Holyhead due to an electrical fault at the port. Hyland expressed concern about the port's readiness, citing the large backlog of freight on the Welsh side. He emphasized the potential for "huge disaster" for the haulage sector, passengers, and Ireland's imports […]

BREAKING: TikTok Goes Dark in America as Trump Promises Revival
TikTok ceased operations in the United States just hours before a legislated ban was scheduled to take effect. Users accessing the platform were notified that recently enacted legislation prevented TikTok usage. The message referenced President-elect Trump's potential intervention, stating, "We are fortunate that President Trump has indicated that he will work with us on a solution to reinstate TikTok once he takes office." The platform's shutdown followed its earlier warning of going offline unless the outgoing Biden administration provided assurances against ban enforcement. Trump, set to assume office Monday, indicated he would "most likely" grant TikTok a 90-day extension from the ban. Users reported TikTok's removal from U.S. Apple and Google app stores, while TikTok.com stopped displaying video content. Proposed Federal Rule Could Dramatically Reduce Nicotine in Cigarettes
The Biden administration is preparing to propose new regulations limiting nicotine levels in cigarettes, expected to be announced as early as Monday. This initiative comes after the administration's previous commitment to ban menthol cigarettes remained unfulfilled. The proposed regulation would focus specifically on traditional cigarettes, excluding other tobacco products such as e-cigarettes and nicotine replacement therapies. While specific nicotine reduction targets haven't been disclosed, research indicates levels may need to be reduced by approximately 95% to minimize addiction potential. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention identify cigarette smoking as the leading preventable cause of death in the United States, resulting in over 480,000 deaths annually. Research from a 2018 FDA study projects that implementing a nicotine cap could prevent 16 million people from developing smoking addiction by 2060, potentially reaching 33.1 million by 2100. The initiative's origins trace back […]

The illustration included Disney, which recently settled a $15 million defamation lawsuit with Trump. Telnaes, who joined the Post in 2008, announced her departure through a Substack post. "In all that time I've never had a cartoon killed because of who or what I chose to aim my pen at," she wrote. "Until now." She explained that her cartoon intended to critique "these men with lucrative government contracts and an interest in eliminating regulations." The Post's editorial page editor David Shipley provided a different explanation for rejecting […]
